WINTER 2010 eNEWSLETTERSORORITY INDUCTS NEW MEMBERS INTO EPSILON CHAPTER
Epsilon Chapter, serving the Philadelphia metro area, inducted four new members into their chapter in a thrilling ceremony on December 26, 2009. This is the first intake since the chapter was established on June 17, 2007, in Cherry Hill, NJ by the co-founders.
Epsilon Chapter President, Ameenah Muhammad, conducted the ceremony with assistance from chapter Secretary Marsha Komara and chapter Treasurer Hajah Komara Donzo.
Also in attendance were President and Executive Director, Dr. Althia F. Ali; Beta Chapter President, Mischelle Moody; and Beta Chapter member Kesha Abdul Mateen.
The induction was preceded by the traditional Lavender Luncheon, a community service project conducted by the Gamma Lilies (prospective members engaged in the Probationary Process). Also known as the Peace Luncheon, the Lavender Luncheon is an opportunity for the Lilies' family members to meet members of the sorority and for the sorority to introduce itself to the community.
