National Headquarters Holds
Second Annual Live Webcast To Kick Off Founding Week 2010 And
As Precursor to The Fifth Anniversary Celebration and GammaFest 2010

Sorors Re-Connect Through Webcast On April 3

The sorors of Gamma Gamma Chi Sorority, Inc. kicked off Founding Week 2010 with the Second Annual Webcast. This year marks the sorority's fifth year, during which six chapters have been established.

The Second Annual Webcast was held on April 3 at 9:00PM EDT, with sorors joining by webcam, internet, iPhone, and conference calls to meet and greet each other. In explaining the event, President and Executive Director Dr. Althia F. Ali said that the purpose of the annual webcasts is to foster and maintain ties among sorors. Members from the National Grand Chapter, along with those from Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Epsilon Chapter joined in for the 90-minute chat. They listened to the State of the Sorority report, introduced themselves, discussed chapter events, and heard the results of the Spring 2010 Ballot.

Several action items came out of the business portion of the webcast, which National Headquarters will distribute to the membership.

Once again, Soror Sumaiyah Yates (Beta Chapter and member, Board of Directors) coordinated this event with Soror Dr. Ali.

National Headquarters Founding Week activities include:

April 3 - Founding Week Kickoff - Live Webcast
April 4 - Announcement of Spring 2010 Ballot results and plans for the Fifth Anniversary Celebration and GammaFest
April 4-10- Chapter Social Get Togethers

The Fifth Anniversary Celebration and GammaFest will be held during the sorority's cruise to the Bahamas (the Lav-n-Green Getaway) from October 8 - 11, insha'Allah. Anyone who wants to join the cruise can do so by clicking here. Installment payments can be made to pay for the trip, so make your plans early to attend the Fifth Anniversary Celebration and GammaFest!

The cruise is open to friends of the sorority, including prospective members.
