Members are raising funds to participate in the Walk for Hunger. According to Soror Ameenah Muhammad, the chapter is leading in donations for the walk. Boxes are located in retail establishments in Philadelphia, with donations going to the Masjidullah Food Bank. Each walker will be asked to give $10.00 bring the day of the walk or they can go on-line. Soror Ameenah is the Chair for this committee.

The Chapter is parterning with Alpha Upsilon Nu (Muslim fraternity) to hold a Book Drive. Soror Ameenah says they currently have 482 books, with a goal of 600 books and $600. The Book Drive continues during the month of April, with Soror Medina Abdul Mateen serving as the Chair.

Soror Medina Abdul-Mateen participates in a community gardening event in the Germantown Community Garden. Soror Medina planted herbs and peppers, and is looking forward to harvest.
