Sorors and future sorors at Beta Lavender Luncheon

BETA LAVENDER LUNCHEON JOINS SORORS, LILIES, AND COMMUNITY

Beta Chapter Gamma Lilies performed their first community service activity by carrying out the duties of hostesses and servers at their Lavender Luncheon during their recent probationary period.

The Lavender Luncheon is also called the Peace Luncheon. At this traditional event, members of the community as well as family and friends of the Gamma Lilies are invited to attend. The purpose is to introduce the sorority to prospective family members and to the larger community. During the luncheon, the Lilies tell why they want to become members of the sorority and they perform various activities that they have been instructed to plan to help them bond further as a group.

The Beta Summer 2010 line's Lavender Luncheon was held in Baltimore at Soror Sumaiyah's new business, the Scrap Shack. Members from National Headquarters and nearby Epsilon Chapter attended the event along with members of each Lily's families and other community members.
