What is a Personal Capacity Building Grant?
A Personal Capacity Building Grant is a gift of any amount that is given to help our organization help ourselves as we are building the first Islamic-based sorority.

Who gives a Personal Capacity Building Grant?
Caring people such as yourself who want to help shape the future and provide support for young Muslim women studying at colleges and universities and Muslim professional women.  The typical grant provider understands that women should not have to give up their religion for their professions, or their professions for their religion.

How is a Personal Capacity Building Grant Used?
Business Infrastructure
We require legal and other professional services to ensure that we are meeting our responsibilities as a non-profit organization and to place our organization in the best position for the future.  We want to continue to use best practices for business management and to protect the organization's future.

Membership Recruitment and Development
A considerable number of young Muslim women have expressed interest in our sorority.  They attend colleges and universities in 20 states and three international countries.  Each day, we receive new membership inquiries that indicate that the time has come for an Islamic-based sorority.  Reaching out to these young women requires important programs, care, and attention that you can help to provide.

Program  Development  (Leadership Development Programs)
     MUSE              Mentor-Protégé Project (Leadership Institute, Technology Teachings, and Personal Growth and Development)
     UMMAH            Community Outreach  (Each chapter is involved in at least one significant community project for their community)
     OUR VOICES   Speakers Bureau (Make Muslim women's viewpoints and concerns more visible.  We want to be a resource for the media and others who want to include Muslim women in meaningful ways in the mainstream.)
