Gold Presentation at the University of Michigan
Twelve prospective members attend Gold Presentation at
the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
Dr. Althia F. Ali (far right) with 11 of the 12 prospective members in attendance at the Gold Presentation held at the University of Michigan-Ann ArborPresident and Executive Director Dr. Althia F. Ali hosted a Gold Presentation on June 7 for twelve prospective members at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
In reflecting on the event, Dr. Ali said, "The meeting at Ann Arbor exceeded my expectations. I met a wonderful group of women who would be wonderful additions to GGChi. They are an obviously intelligent, talented group of women, and I am pleased that nearly all of them expressed an intention to move forward in the application process. Three of them are not eligible at this time. If we are able to add them to our membership, they would enrich the sorority in the same way that I believe we would enrich their lives."
The Gold Presentation is a traditional, formal meeting designed to provide information about the sorority, to answer any questions that prospective members may have, and to give everyone an opportunity to socialize with a reception following the informational meeting.
Attendance at the Gold Presentation is a requirement for consideration for membership. It does not commit either the prospective member or the sorority for further consideration.
