The Bicentennial Parade was a part of the celebration of the city's 200-year history, and an opportunity for residents to show their Greensboro pride.
In addition to the Gamma Chapter members, budding Gammas Sabree Flood, D'lorah Pierce (not pictured), and Safiyyah Abdullah, and Gamma Link Aaron Canty helped to spread the word about GGChi to the Greensboro community as they followed the parade route in Soror Imani's car and tossed candy along the way to bystanders.
Imani Canty summed up the day's activities in this way: "We enjoyed being in the parade a great deal. It was an honor for our chapter to participate in the parade, as we are the first chapter of GGChi to participate in a city-wide event. Also, it was surprising and exciting to experience the positive reception that we received."
