Epsilon Chapter members celebrate Sorority's founding

Epsilon Chapter members (above, left to right) Coniqua Abdul-Malik, Marsha Komara, Ameenah Muhammad, and Hajah Komara-Donzo spent time celebrating the third anniversary of GGChi over dinner and good conversation.

The group got together for dinner at the Cherryhill Cheesecake Factory on April 4.

Epsilon Chapter President Ameenah Muhammad said, "We enjoyed good food, good conversation in Gamma style." Dr. Althia F. Ali, President and Executive Director of Gamma Gamma Chi Sorority, Inc. said, "It's only fitting that they would gather at the Cheesecake Factory since cheesecake is the official dessert of GGChi."

Epsilon Chapter hosts Gamma Gathering

Epsilon Chapter at Gamma Gathering

Epsilon Chapter members got together to hold a traditional Gamma Gathering for two prospective members (center, above).

The Gamma Gathering is a traditional activity that follows the Gold Presentation (informational meeting). The Gathering is a way for prospective members and current members to get to know each other better in a social setting during the application process.

Epsilon Chapter hosts Family Day at the Strawberry Patch

Epsilon Chapter members held a family day at the strawberry patch at Johnson's Farm in Medford, New Jersey, on June 1.

For $10, participants were able to enjoy a hayride, pick strawberries, and enjoy a picnic which they took along.

Epsilon Chapter President Ameenah Muhammad said, "Strawberry picking was nice. The children had a great time and our prospects came out with their families as well. Our next event is a Horseback Riding Fundraiser, which we're looking forward to."
